Meet Our Founder: Dr. Susan Stuart

Dr. Susan Stuart never set out to build an aesthetic medicine practice. As a board-certified pediatrician in Westerly, RI, she spent years caring for children until the parents she had come to know started asking a different kind of question, not about their kids, but about Botox for themselves. What began with a few converted exam rooms grew into Wells Fountain, built on the same trust Dr. Stuart had already earned in the community.  

That trust remains at the center of the practice today. Dr. Stuart brings three decades of clinical experience to Wells Fountain, including 15 years focused on weight management in both pediatric and adult populations. After completing her pediatric residency in the United States Navy, she arrived in Newport, RI, in 1997, and in 2017 expanded her practice into aesthetic medicine, allowing her to embrace a truly holistic approach to wellness. She continues to focus on pediatric health, particularly childhood obesity, while also empowering adult patients through aesthetic treatments that promote self-confidence, self-esteem, and overall vitality.

Dr. Stuart holds a Doctor of Osteopathy from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, a Master’s degree in Public Health/Epidemiology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a Master’s Degree in Health Professions Education, also from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Society of Obesity Medicine, and the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics.

Yolande Muoio, BSN, RN

Yolande Muoio, BSN, RN, is an experienced healthcare leader specializing in clinical operations. Responsibilities include advising clinicians, leading investigations, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient safety and care quality. Recognized for a collaborative and analytical approach, Yolande works closely with healthcare professionals across disciplines and actively contributes to committees focused on ethics, quality oversight, and nursing leadership development.

Committed to delivering the highest standard of care, Yolande brings advanced clinical expertise to every patient interaction. To support this commitment, Yolande has earned certifications through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE) in neuromodulator treatments and dermal fillers, as well as certifications through Cutera in LimeLight IPL, Laser Genesis Nd:YAG, and Secret PRO, an advanced aesthetic skin treatment that combines CO2 fractional laser resurfacing with radiofrequency (RF) microneedling. These credentials reflect a dedication to ongoing professional development and to providing safe, effective, and evidence-based aesthetic care.

Yolande began a fitness journey in 2018 and, just one year later, competed in the WBFF Boston Diva Fitness Competition, earning first place in the Masters Division.

Passionate about the benefits of weight training and proper nutrition, Yolande is dedicated to helping others look and feel their best. Over the years, many women have been coached and mentored to achieve health and fitness goals through personalized guidance, encouragement, and sustainable lifestyle practices.

Kristina Mississian, RN

With more than 15 years of experience in aesthetic medicine, wellness, and advanced patient care, Kristina Mississian, RN, is dedicated to delivering refined, natural-looking results that enhance each patient’s unique beauty while supporting lifelong health and vitality.

Known for her meticulous technique and personalized approach, Kristina creates bespoke treatment plans designed to rejuvenate the skin, promote graceful aging, and restore confidence. She believes exceptional aesthetic care begins with listening, educating, and building trusted relationships, ensuring every patient enjoys a thoughtful, elevated experience. Kristina also serves as a Vascular Access Specialist at a Level I Trauma Center, where her expertise in ultrasound-guided vascular access reflects the precision, safety, and clinical excellence she brings to every treatment.

Committed to innovation and continuous education, Kristina remains at the forefront of regenerative medicine and advanced aesthetic technologies. At Wells Fountain, she combines medical expertise with an artistic eye and compassionate care to help patients achieve elegant, refreshed results that look naturally beautiful and feel authentically their own.
